This King Arthur themed statue is situated on the headlands by the ruins of Tintagel Castle. Tintagel is said to be where King Arthur was conceived, and was a seat of power as far back as the fifth century. The castle itself was built in the 1230s by Richard, Earl of Cornwall, who was inspired by the Arthurian legend. The statue, titled Gallos (Cornish for power), was sculpted by Rubin Eynon and unveiled in 2016.
